CAMOC's Unveiling of the "Chinese Opera"

The Chinese American Museum of Chicago (CAMOC) unveiled their brand new mural “Chinese Opera” on Wednesday, 6/22!

Inspired by traditional Cantonese Opera, it was a beautiful piece depicting the Monkey King, Mu Guiying, and Guan Yu, famous characters within the production. Many amazing community leaders came out to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the mural and Rich Lo, the artist responsible for its creation, was there to speak about his inspiration and thoughts behind the piece! It was very rewarding and we were elated to be there to witness its introduction to the Chinatown community!
